Frozen Spit Sculpture
Something holy announces itself within my body. I spit it out. It’s still there. I spit again, and again, and I keep spitting until it’s all gone. The vestige of digestion, absorption, and decay becomes my own frozen heaven.

Sophia Chefalo is an artist-researcher who investigates post-technical imaging practices that operate beyond human sensory capabilities, developing theoretical frameworks for understanding how contemporary image-making exceeds photography’s corporeal limits. Drawing on media theory, aesthetics, and the philosophy of technology, this work interrogates the mediality and materiality of images as aesthetic objects and examines how preservation reconfigures the boundaries between index, icon, and apparatus.
Vinzenz Aubry is an artist working in Real Time. Meandering between art, design, and programming, their work explores human–machine–nature relationships and critically investigates the implications of so-called modern society. The cross-disciplinary projects take shape as multimedia installations, sculptures, net art, and performances.
